Why Organizing Matters

A client recently shed tears after we created her first eight file folders. Reflecting on ten years of helping people sort and toss their belongings in homes and offices, I’ve started to ask myself “Why does organizing matter?” It matters more to some than others, but no one can deny that life is easier when you can find what you need when you need it. As life becomes increasingly digital, messes in the physical realm still abound. Creating order out of chaos is as cathartic as ever. I’d like to share why organzing one’s space in this world is oftentimes a joyful turning point in one’s life.
