Have you ever been enchanted by a particular place in our great city?

Such enticing places are everywhere right?! From the Mall to the White House, we are surrounded by riveting historical sites and stories. But of all the magnificent spots in our town, there’s one that keeps enchanting me over and over.

Maybe you’ve relished this place already...:

1. It’s walking distance from the White House.

2. Its actual structure once burned down, but now stands tall and beautiful again.

3. It’s where many-a-president and poet have found inspiration, elegance, and a really good scotch.

Drawing on stories from before the Civil War on up to present day, we'll take a five-minute gallop through this DC landmark's history. And along the way, I can't wait to share why it has been my favorite source of allure.
