The always on smart phones, not quite

The modern smart phone promises always on connection, while this is almost true, we all have experienced in dropped connections, bad connections, and no connections inside buildings, etc. This talk explains what I have learned through the social projects TweeterVoteReport and InaugurationReport in dealing with this "always on" network and the evolution of our data synchronization process.
