Nora von Ingersleben

What Jimmy Stewart can teach us about the US tech industry

In the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," Jimmy Stewart is about to kill himself because he wishes he didn't exist. Then an angel appears and shows him what the world would be like if he had never been born.

So what would the world look like if policy makers had stopped issuing immigrant visas in the seventies?

No Intel, no Sun, no Google.

What would have happened to America's tech revolution? And are new policies in danger of killing the next?
