Augmented Reality for Mobile Learning
Augmented Reality for smart phones is the richest, most universal and portable platform for web based training (WBT) to date. WBT was a great advancement in our ability to learn because it made training available anywhere a user could get online, at any time. This accelerated learning because it alleviated the need for dedicated classrooms and teachers. WBT falls short, however, because it still requires a desktop computer and the time to sit through a lesson. If we bring learning to an end user based on where they are located, what they are engaged in, and what questions they have, we can provide not just the next step in web based training, but a real time augmented knowledge engine.
