Ignite DC #2

Brandon Schmittling

How to Survive the Night

Once a year, the streets of DC are overtaken by a large-scale, massively-multiplayer game called Journey to the End of the Night. This presentation will introduce the concept of these kinds of games, our version of it, why our event has been so successful, how to start your own mass-culture event, ways to build your audience, keep them interested, and do it all for about $100. Potential topics covered range from communication, collaboration, technology, social networking, do-it-yourself, and how we're addressing and exploring the concept of public places.
