PJ Doland

The Evolution of Mickey Mouse

Since his first appearance in "Plane Crazy" in 1928, Mickey Mouse's appearance has undergone at least eight significant changes in design. In 20 slides, this presentation will chronicle the gradual morphological evolution of the world's most beloved cartoon rodent while showing that even things we regard as iconic do, for a variety of reasons, change considerably over time.
