Confessions of a Kickball Veteran

for the past 3 years, i have played adult league kickball in washington dc with the Washington Area Kickball Association (WAKA). The Potomac League is the granddaddy of the kickball leagues, the one credited with bringing kickball to the masses. Some of its player have been at it for years, even a decades. There are theme nights, trophies, charity events, and drinking. Oh god the drinking. I was in a fraternity in college and these kids drink like they're sophomores in college. And along the way adult kickball has spawned an entire nationwide movement, been mocked in the onion, and even litigated a case all the way up to the supreme court. But its DC that fascinates me, what drives this successful young professionals to strip off the suits, put on a t-shirt, and kick a kickball? Find out in... confessions of a kickball veteran.
