Outgrow Pain and Problems: A New Paradigm for Individuals and Our World
Very young children learn to walk, and leave crawling behind. They outgrow crawling. With similar processes and practices, individuals at any age can outgrow back pain, asthma, arthritis, depression, hip joint pain, and other problems. Our society and world can outgrow homelessness, pollution, racism, terrorism, and war. This new paradigm is profoundly holistic and ecological. It understands that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. It empowers us to see the pattern that connects. And it can guide us to be healthier and happier, as we create a more free, just, peaceful, and sustainable world.
About Steven Shafarman :
Steven has been working in, with, and for this new paradigm for many years. His primary mentor was Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, and Steven was Moshe’s appointment secretary. Steven has taught the Feldenkrais Method in Israel, Europe, Argentina, Australia, and many places in the United States, and he is the author of Awareness Heals: The Feldenkrais Method for Dynamic Health. His most recent book is Peaceful, Positive Revolution: Economic Security for Every American.
Applying this new paradigm with individuals, for healing, fitness, and exercise, Steven created FlexAware®. www.FlexAware.com.
Regarding social, cultural, and environmental problems, this new paradigm suggests that rapid and lasting progress is possible with a guaranteed basic income. Moderate Democrats and Republicans supported guaranteed income in the 1960s, and a plan to provide it passed the House of Representatives with two-thirds of the vote. These ideas are now gaining support in many other countries. Steven is active with www.USBIG.net and www.BasicIncome.org, and the proprietor of www.IncomeSecurityForAll.org.
