I have 300 "friends" on Facebook. This week, my "followers" peaked at 657 on Twitter. On LinkedIn, I have over 100 "connections". At home, my phone hardly rings. I have reunions online and scheduled "playdates" for myself and my kid when meeting offline. To help with first-meeting jitters, a new acquaintance can be Googled in mere seconds.
