Measuring Entrepreneurship in DC
We all feel it, the buzz of new companies, meet-ups, and creative cohesion in and around DC. But can we measure it? In measuring entrepreneurial activity in DC, DCEW aims to help influence the drivers of such activity by showing the measurable impact of policy, regulation and community actions.
This is a brief overview of how the DC Entrepreneurship Team is attempting to measure Ent activity in DC... while we prepare for DC Entrepreneurship Week in November 2011.
About Dave Anderson:
A DC native, Dave received his MBA from Georgetown's McDonough School of Business in 2010. Having worked for small software start-ups in San Francisco and Boston, Dave is psyched to be back in DC helping new companies and initiatives.
Some of the firms he advises are: Event Farm; the Artists Coalition for Dupont Underground; Giving-Social. He is an active volunteer with the United Way and mentors multiple business plan competitions in DC.
Dave is an avid runner & sailor.
